Beautiful Porcelain Figurine Tiziano Galli Capodimonte Italy Young Worker or Knitter Sculpture
Description: A beautiful porcelain figurine by the highly collectible Italian sculptor Tiziano Galli. The piece is titled First or Early Work Sculpture and signed by Tiziano Galli. The sculpture depicts a young girl sitting on a chair with a foot stool under her feet (even though her feet do not reach it) and she is knitting. The young girl has blond hair and red lips. She is wearing a polka dot dress and a light pink apron with a blue shawl around her shoulder. She has a ball of yarn on her lap and knitting needles in her hands. Her shoes are on the floor as is a basket with yarn and other items. The base has green felt on the bottom. The base is marked as to the subject, the maker and has the Capodimonte mark of the crown N and indicate that the piece is made in Italy. The sculpture is highly detailed and very colorful. Just look at the details of the girl's face, her hair, the hole in her socks, the polka dot bows in her hair, and her dress. Just a great piece in great condition that would look great in your collection. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of our description.

Origin: Purchased at an estate sale in Southern New Jersey. The piece was made in Italy.
Size: The figurine is ~6 5/8" high with the base measuring ~4 3/4" in diameter and the piece weighing about one and a half pounds.
Maker: Capodimonte with the art work by Tiziano Galli.
Marks: On top of the base the words "PRIMI-LAVORI SCULTORE TIZIANO GALLI" which translated to First or Early Work Sculpture Tiziano Galli. The back of the base has the crowned N mark of Capodimonte and the words "MADE-ITALY-DEPOSEE."
Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: A beautiful figurine that would display nicely in your collection or would make a nice decorative accent around your home.
Condition: The figurine is in great condition with no breaks, cracks, chips, hairlines, crazing or repairs. The piece is beautiful and the colors are fresh and vivid. We have carefully examined the piece and we did not see any chips or losses. However, since these pieces are very delicate and has parts that extend outwards and are thin, there may be a spot that we missed, but we could not find such a spot despite the fact that we used a 10X loop to view the piece. The piece is soiled and would benefit from a good cleaning, but we leave that to the discretion of the new owner. Please see photos for additional condition information.
