Mexico Silver Coin 1911 One or Un Peso Horse and Rider Caballito Choice XF++
Description: A beautiful silver crown size coin from the Mexico. This is the 1911 one or un peso coin for the Mexican United States. This is the coin known as Caballito and was designed by Charles Pillet. The coin displays a horse with a rider facing left within sun rays on the obverse with the date below. The reverse shows the Mexican eagle with a serpent in its beak, the denomination, and the words ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS along the edge. The edge of the coin is also marked "INDEPENDENCIA Y LIBERTAD" all along the rim. This is KM 453, weighs ~27 grams, and measures ~39 millimeters. Condition: I would grade the coin choice extremely fine to about uncirculated. The coin has minimum wear to the highest points. It is lightly toned along the edges. It is a bit soiled with some darker areas on both the obverse and reverse. It has some scratches, and some bag marks. The coin is beautiful and very desirable. The coin is problem free and has a few minor scratches and minor bag marks. It is a beautiful coin with nice eye appeal, which would make a great addition to your collection.
