1863 Civil War Token "Union For Ever" Washington 1st Brown's Equestrian Statue

Description: A good extremely fine Civil War copper token. The token displays Brown's Equestrian Statue in New York with George Washington pointing left. The obverse has the date 1863 below the statue and the legend "FIRST IN WAR FIRST IN PEACE along the edge surrounding the statue. The reverse of the token has the legend "UNION FOR EVER" in the center surrounded by an oak and a palm branch secured at the base with the US Shield with four folded flags crossed behind it. This token is listed by Musante as GW -639 representing the first Equestrian obverse. The token has a plain edge. It weighs ~3.2 gm and is ~19 mm in diameter.
