Description: A great looking and nicely toned very fine 1736 Mexican crown size silver coin. This is the Philip V 8 Reales depicting the crowned globe flanked by crowned pillars on the obverse with the date below and surrounded by the legend "VTRAQUE VNUM" followed by the mint mark "Mo." The reverse depicts the crowned arms of Spain flanked by the MF and 8 with the legend "PHILIP.V.D.G.HISPAN.ET IND.REX" These coins were used extensively in the US before the silver dollars were circulated. The coin is nicely toned and shows all the details very well. It is a truly a nice coin with great eye appeal and has nice heft to it. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of our description.

I would grade this coin as a nice toned very fine with all the details being well preserved and wear commensurate with its age and circulated state. The coin has even wear on both sides, some scratches, bag marks, light pitting, some embedded soiling especially on the reverse near the bottom, and a few dings to the surface which can be seen in the photos. It has wear to the highest points but still retains its details and looks great. It is beautiful, well preserved and has great eye appeal. A great coin to add to your collection.
