Description: Beautiful proof deep cameo large silver coin graded by PCGS as Proof PR66 DCAM. This is the 1979 (1399AH) One Egyptian Pound or Gineih silver coin commemorating the corrective Revolution initiated by President Anwar Sadat on May 15, 1971. The coin depicts the face of a woman with a wheat sheaf behind it and the sun above her. There is also the date 15 May 1971 in front of her on the obverse. The reverse he reverse is all in beautiful naskhi Arabic Calligraphy showing the dates, the denomination, and the fact that it is from the Arab Republic of Egypt. There is also an arabesque floral design on the bottom. Just a great looking coin with beautiful clean fields. It is KM-473 and weighs 15 grams of 0.72 silver. It measures approximately 35 mm in diameter. This coin is of low mintage and only 1500 coins were struck as proof. The coin has a reeded edge. Condition: The coin is proof with deep cameo fields. It is graded by PCGS as proof PR66 DCAM. It comes in a plastic slab and is marked as such. It has all of its details very well preserved. The coin is much better than the scan shows. It shows mirror like fields and is absolutely gorgeous. Just a great looking coin which would make a great addition to your collection.
