1845 P Gold Coin Sardinia Italy 20 Lire King Carlo Alberto KM# 131.1 PCGS AU50
Description: Beautiful about uncirculated gold coin from Sardinia Italy. This is the 1845 Twenty Lire showing the head of King Carlo Alberto on the obverse and crowned Savoy arms on the reverse. The obverse shows the bust of Carlo Alberto facing left with the legend "CAR.ALBERTVS D.G. REX SARD.CYP. ET HIER" along the edge surrounding the bust on the obverse with the date 1845 below the bust. The reverse shows a crowned spade shaped shield with the Savoy cross between two oak branches with the denomination "L.20" dividing the mint marks on the bottom. The reverse also has the legend "DVX SAB.GENVAE ET MONTISF.PRINC.PED&" along the edge of the coin. The coin has a reeded edge. The coin should weigh 6.45 grams of 0.900 gold and measures ~20 millimeters in diameter. It is graded About Uncirculated AU50 by PCGS and comes in a plastic holder so labeled. Condition: The coin is graded About Uncirculated AU 50 by PCGS and comes in a plastic slab so labeled.
