1882 Silver Coin from Argentina 20 Centavos Republic Decimal Coin Capped Liberty Head Toned About Uncirculated Coin
Description: A beautiful about uncirculated or much better coin from Argentina. This is the 1882 silver twenty centavos coin. The coin, which is made of 90%25 silver depicts the capped head of lady liberty on the obverse with the denomination, the word Liberty, and the fineness of silver surrounding lady liberty's bust. The reverse shows the flagged arms of Argentina with a half radiant sun above it and the legend "REBUPBLICA ARGENTINA 1882"surrounding it. This is a small but very nice and rather scarce coin with a reeded edge. It is nicely toned and has great eye appeal. It is KM# 27 weighing ~5 grams of 90%25 silver and measures ~23.5 mm in diameter. Coins of low denomination such as this are rather scarce in such a nice state of preservation since they would have been heavily circulated and/or melted for the value of the silver in it. Please carefully review the scan presented as it is part and parcel of our description.
