1886 Egypt Gold Coin 100 Qirsh Floral Border Sultan Abdul Hamid II 1293H/12 MS62

Description: A mint state uncirculated gold coin from Egypt. This is the 1293 AH 12th year of Sultan Abdul Hamid II reign, or 1886 AD, Egyptian one hundred Qirsh (one pound) gold coin. The coin depicts the tughra of Abdul Hamid the second with the denomination under it and a rose to its right all surrounded by branches and flowers constituting a floral border. The reverse says "Duribah Fi Misr" or struck in Egypt with the number 12 over the "beh" in duribah (for 12th reginal year of Abdul-Hamid's reign) and the date 1293 AH under it for the year when Abdul-Hamid ascended the throne, all surrounded by the same floral border as the obverse. Just a beautiful design that is unique for Egyptian coins from that era. The coin is beautiful, is graded Mint State 62 (MS 62) by NGC, and comes in a plastic slab so labeled. Size and weight: This is a 100 Qirsh or one pound, should weigh approximately 8.5 grams of 0.875 gold and is about 23 mm in diameter.

Condition: The coin is graded Mint State 62 (MS 62) by NGC and comes in a plastic holder so labeled. It is beautiful with no evident wear, no blemishes, and a minimum of surface marks. The coin is beautiful and has great eye appeal. Please see photo for additional condition information.
