1892 Austria Gold Coin 4 Florin 10 Francs Franz Joseph Facing Right Uncirculated
Description: A beautiful uncirculated gold coin from Austria. This is the 1890 four Florine, four Gulden, or 10 Francs restrike coin. The coin shows the bust of Francis Joseph I with heavy whiskers facing right in the center of the obverse with the legend "FRANCISCVS . IOSEPHVS . I . D . G . IMPERATOR . ET . REX . *" along the edge surrounding the busts. The reverse depicts the image of the crowned double headed imperial eagle with the legend "IMPERIVM AVSTRICVM" along the edge on top of the eagle and the date on the bottom with the denomination in Florine and Francs under the eagle's claws. The coin's rim has lettering, which we assume details the denomination but we are unable to make it out. The coin is uncirculated, measures ~19 mm in diameter and weighs ~3.2 gm of 0.900 gold. Just a very nice coin worthy of a spot in your collection of world gold coins. Please carefully review the photos provided as they are part and parcel of our description.
