The coin depicts a standing angel writing the constitution with a proud rooster in front of it on the obverse. There is also the legend REPUBLIQUE FRANCAISE surrounding it along the edge with the signature Dupre in exergue. The reverse shows the denomination and date within a circular wreath with the legend "LIBERTE EGALITE FRATERNITE" surrounding it along the edge with the mint mark A below it. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of our description.
Date: 1895.
Mint: Paris Mint.
Size and weight: This is a twenty francs gold coin, weighs ~6.45 grams of 0.900 gold and is ~21 mm in diameter.
References: It is KM #825.
Condition: I would grade it as a very nice extremely fine to about uncirculated with well-preserved details and minor wear. The coin has some minor wear to the high points commensurate with its age and circulated state, some surface scratches and minor bag marks. It is beautiful with all of its details being well preserved and having nice eye appeal. The coin is much better than the photos suggest. A great coin to add to your collection.
