  • $ 277.77

Description: A nice large and heavy bronze medal from 1907. This is the Paris Mint strike of the famous 1907 Paul-Marcel Dammann Art Deco medal commemorating the diffusion of electricity. The obverse of the medal depicts a tall slender woman, standing on steps, in a long gown with her hands up and rays coming out of them and reaching a city below. The Letters C-P-D-E (for Cie Pour le Diffusion d'Electricite) and the date MCMVII for 1907 below by the woman's feet. There is the name P.M. DAMMANN on the step below her feet. The reverse depicts the head of a woman with rays emanating from her hair. A great Art Deco like only Paul Dammann can come-up with. The edge of the medal is marked with a cornucopia and the word Bronze. A great looking and very interesting medal to add to your collection.
