1914 Mexico Banco De Queretaro 10 Pesos Banknote New Signature Overprint P S391b

Description:  A nice very fine ten pesos banknote issued by "El Banco De Queretaro" in Mexico. This is the 1914 Series A issue with two new signatures to the left and center overprinted on the original signatures. The banknote is printed in black on brown underprint. The front depicts the image of Guadalupe Obregon as a child within an oval to the left and the state's arms to the right of the front. The front also displays the serial number, the series, Date of issue, three signatures, the name of the issuing bank, and the denomination. The back is dark brown and has the image of a steam train traveling under an aqueduct in the center flanked by the denomination with the name of the bank below. The back has a blue oval treasury stamp in the upper left corner and a rectangular blue stamp stating 2 CENT again in blue in the bottom left corner. The back also indicates that the note was printed by the "AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY, NEW YORK". This particular note has the serial number 58273 printed in red twice on the front but not on the back. The note is graded Very Fine 30 by PMG and comes in a plastic holder so labeled. Size: The banknote measures ~7 3/8" by ~3 1/4".   Pick Number: S391b and is listed in the Frampton Opus as 474b. 

Condition: The note is graded by PMG as very fine 30 with the notation minor stains on the back. The note comes in a plastic holder so labeled. It is nice looking, appears to be intact with no graffiti or pinholes. It has folds, is soiled, has some stains and some foxing with its details being still well preserved. Its corners are intact with some rounding and bumps. A nice fairly scarce note in very fine condition to add to your collection. Please see photos for additional condition information.
