  • $ 49.99

Description: A beautiful crisp apparent uncirculated Banknote from the free and sovereign State of Sinaloa in Mexico. This is the note which conforms to the February 22, 1915 decree. It is a one peso currency note. The front has the portraits of Francisco Madero (President of the United Mexican States until his assassination in 1913) and Pablo Benito Juárez (the Mexican statesman who served as president of Mexico from 1858-1872) in black and white over a pale purple background with black writing. The back is tan to brown in color with the image of a city in the background and a woman holding a staff and a blindfolded woman surrounding a shield having a maritime scene within it and an eagle with a serpent in its mouth (Mexican arms) on top of it. This note is a Series B issue and has a blue circular treasury seal on the back, making it Pick Number S1043a. This particular note has the serial number 70551 on the front twice in red and does not display the serial number on the back. The note has four signatures displayed on the front but has no water mark that we could find. The paper of the note is thick and stiff. Please carefully view scan as it is part and parcel of our description.

Date: 1915.

Printer: Britton & Ray of San Francisco, California.

Size: The banknote measures ~6 3/8" by ~2 3/4".

Pick Number: Pick number S1043a.

Condition: I would grade this banknote as a good crisp apparent uncirculated. The note was most likely never circulated and is crisp with no fold, no creases, but has a couple of minor bumps at the corners most likely from being handled by collectors rather than circulation. This is the reason we call it apparent uncirculated and not uncirculated. The note is crisp and stiff with vivid colors it has some bumps at the corners. The note has no pinholes, no graffiti, and no stains. The note has no tears, no splits, and on repairs. The banknote has all the and they are very well preserved. Just a nice piece to add to your collection. Please see photo for additional condition information.
