1915 Mexico Banknote Michoacán 1 Peso Compañía Minera Las Dos Estrellas UM3089r

Description: A nice uncirculated "VALE POR" or company paper money to be used by workers to purchase goods. The mining company "Compañía Minera Las Dos Estrellas" was in Tlalpujahua in the state of State of Michoacán in Mexico. This is the note which conforms to decree number 550 of May 23, 1916 is issued by the General Treasury of the Constititional Government of the State of Michoacán of Mexico. The note is a one-peso remainder note issued on February 1st, 1915. It is series R and has the serial number 21850. It is unsigned. The note is green in color on both sides with the front having the name of the company and its location. It also displays the denomination in the center "UN PESO" with the numeral $1.00 to the left of it. The back of the note only displays the denomination as $1.00 in the center. The note has no signatures displayed on the front and has no watermark. I would grade it as uncirculated with some soiling at the left edge of the back. Please carefully review the scans presented as they are part and parcel of our description.

Size: The banknote measures ~7 1/8" by ~3 1/4". 

Pick Number: Pick Unlisted, it is Numista N# 393674, and is listed in Frampton Opus as M3089r. 

Condition: I would grade this banknote as a nice uncirculated with some light soiling along the right edge of the back. The note has no fold, no creases, and no wrinkling. It is clean except for the soiling mentioned earlier. Its edges are intact with no observable roughness and the corners are fully squared with no bumps or rounding. The note has no graffiti, no pinholes, no tears, and no splits. A nice note worthy of a spot in your collection. Please see photo for additional condition information.
