1915 Oaxaca State Mexico Series A 10 Pesos Banknote P#957b Blue Paper XF 40 Net
Description: An extremely fine Banknote from the State of Oaxaca in Mexico. The note dated 24 September 1915. It is a 10 pesos currency note that appears to be very crudely printed. The note is blue, maroon, brown. gray on pink. The front shows the image of a wreathed head of woman within a circle to the right. The back shows the image of Pablo Benito Juarez at left. The note is series A and has two signatures and a red stamped serial number. The back has a red stamp which bled throughout the note. This particular note has the serial number 1200633 on the front twice in red and does not display the serial number on the back. Again, the note is series "A" and has two signatures displayed on the front but has no water mark that we could find. Please carefully review the scans presented as they are part and parcel of our description.

Size: The banknote measures ~6 1/8" by ~2 7/8".
Pick Number: Pick number S957b.
Condition: The banknote is graded as 40 Extremely Fine Net and comes in a plastic holder so labeled. The holder has the following notation on the back “Corner Damage, Small Hoes, Annotation". The note has red coloration throughout from the stamp on the back and the serial number running. It also has losses in the bottom left corner and two small holes in the top of the number 10 on the right center of the front. There is also some graffiti in the back top margin. A rather uncommon find that is rather scarce, to add to your collection. Please see scan for additional condition information.
