1915 State of Sonora Mexico Four Crisp Uncirculated 25 Centavos Banknotes Having Consecutive Serial Numbers Pick Number S1069
Description: A lot of four beautiful crisp uncirculated banknotes from the State of Sonora in Mexico. These are the January 1, 1915 series I regular issue twenty five centavos. This lot is comprised of four crisp uncirculated notes with sequential serial numbers, The notes which are all from series I have the serial numbers 23910, 23911, 23912, and 23913. This is of course is a rare occurrence to find four of such low denomination currency notes in sequence and in such a great shape. Each banknote depicts the portraits of Francisco Madero ( President of the United Mexican States ) at left and J. M. Pino Suarez (his Vice President ) at right both in black and white over a black background with white on black writing on the front. The back is green with the image of an eagle with a snake in its beak (the seal of the Mexican Republic) with the words Republica Mexicana and the words Goberno del Estado Libre Y Soberno De Sonora surrounding the eagle in its center within. The back also has a black scalloped stamp in the left upper corner and is stamped JR-XXX in the right top corner for all the notes. As mentioned earlier, the notes have four consecutive serial numbers displayed twice in red on the front of the notes, but are not displayed on the back. The notes have four printed signatures displayed on the bottom of the front but have no water mark that we could find. The paper of the note in absolute great condition and retain their original crispiness with fresh and vivid colors. Condition: I would grade these four banknotes as crisp uncirculated. The banknote has all the details and they are very well preserved. The note has no graffiti, splits, soiling, pinholes, or stains. It has no folds or creases and the corners are intact and fully squared. The note has no splits or tears and the edges are intact. Just a great and rare series of notes to add to your collection.
