1921 Angola Banknote Portuguese Republic 50 Centavos Pick No. 62 PMG XF 40

Description:  A nice extremely fine Banknote from Angola on the west coast of Africa. This is the Republic of Portugal issued note for the province of Angola. It is the fifty centavos note dated 1921. The note is dark brown on off-white background and depicts the image of a woman ploughing to the right of center with arms to the right on the front. There is a sail ship with mountains in the background with a sun rising and throwing rays throughout the background. The front has the serial number in black, while the denomination, the series, and two signatures all in red. The back of the note has the same color scheme as the front with the name of the issuing authority on top and the name of the country ANGOLA on the bottom. There is an image of the allegory of industry to the left with factories and a train next to it and the allegory of navigation to the right with a ship next to it with the date 1921 below. There is the arms in the center with beautiful line decoration surrounding the entire image. This particular note has the serial number 123761 and is series J. The note is graded Extremely Fine 40 by PMG and comes in a plastic holder so labeled. A very rare note in any condition worthy of a spot in your collection. Condition: The banknote is graded by PMG as Extremely Fine 40 and comes in a plastic holder so labeled. The note looks clean with some light folds and rounded corners. It has no graffiti, no pinholes, no tears, and no apparent splits. The edges appear to be intact with minimum roughness if any. This is a rather rare note in any condition and this specimen is in extremely fine condition. The note is nicely margined, making it a very nice note to add to your collection.
