1932 Ethiopia Five Thalers Pick Number 7 Greater Kudu Head PMG Very Fine 20 Banknote
Description: A nice very fine Banknote from Ethiopia. This is the May 1st, 1932 five Thalers currency note issued by the Bank of Ethiopia. The front of the banknote is purple on multicolored underprint with Amharic, English and French text and depict the head of the Greater Kudu antelope in the center of the front. The front also has the image of a bank building left of center and the Ethiopian Arms (Lion Passant with cross on its shoulder) right of center. The back has basically the same color scheme as the front with green being more prominent and has Amharic text. The front shows the serial number and one signature of the governor of the Bank of Ethiopia at the time. This particular note has the serial number A/1 01447, which is displayed in black twice on the front. The note has no watermark and no security thread. Condition: The note is graded Very Fine 20 by PMG and comes in a plastic holder that is so marked. It has soiling, folds and staining. The holder is also marked Thinning, which we do not see or recognize. Be that as it may, it is a nice and well margined note that very seldom comes by. A nice rare note to add to your collection.
