Description: A nice about new banknote from Hong Kong. This is The Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation one dollar currency note issued on June 1, 1935. The note is blue on yellow and light green underprint and shows the image of a helmeted woman to the left of the front. The back is colored in light purple and has the image of an allegorical woman holding a torch in the center. The banknote was issued by the "The Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation" and printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. Ltd. The front of the note displays the denomination as well as two signatures in blue. It also displays the serial number with this particular note having the serial number H124,988 displayed twice in black on the front. The note is dated 1st June, 1935. The banknote has watermark depicting the image of a helmeted woman. The note is graded About New 53PPQ (Premium Paper Quality) by PCGS Currency. A beautiful banknote to add to your collection.
