1943 Malaya Twenty Cents Lustrous Silver Coin Crowned King George VI Left MS 62
Description: A beautiful and lustrous, uncirculated mint state, 1943 silver coin from Malaya. This is the 20 cents coin depicting the crowned bust of king George VI facing left on the obverse. The obverse also has the legend "GEORGE VI KING AND EMPEROR OF INDIA" surrounding the bust. The reverse has the denomination in the center with the legend "COMMISSIONERS OF CURRENCY MALAYA 1943" surrounding it. This is a relatively scarce coin in such a mint state condition given its low denomination and the fact that it is silver. These coins have been heavily circulated and those remaining were melted for their silver. This coin is graded MS 62 by ANACS and comes in a plastic slab so labeled. The coin has a readed edge and retains most of its original mint luster. A great coin to add to your collection.
