1946 Republic of Guatemala Silver Coin Quarter Quetzal KM 243.2 ANACS MS 62

Description: A beautiful silver coin from the Guatemala. This is the 1946 quarter Quetzal coin. The coin displays the arms of the Republic of Guatemala featuring the Quetzal Bird standing over a scroll with two swords and a rifle behind it within a wreath. The date 1946 is below the arms and the words "REPUBLICA DE GUATEMALA" surrounding the coat of arms. The reverse shows the Quetzal bird standing n a column with the date 30 June 1871 with the denomination and the words "LEY DE 26 DE NOVIEMBRE DE 1942" surrounding the entire image along the edge. The coin has a reeded edge and is graded (Mint State 62) MS 62 by ANACS. The coin comes in a plastic holder so labeled. It is beautiful with all of its details being well preserved. Size and weight: Coin should weigh ~8.33 gm of 0.720 silver and is ~27 mm in diameter.

References: It is KM 243.2.

Condition: The coin is graded Mint State MS 62 by ANACS and comes in a plastic slab so labeled. It is beautiful with all of its details being well preserved and showing a minimum of surface marks.
