1957-1961 Great Britain Five Pounds Banknote Signed L. K. O'Brien Prefix B82 PMG Choice Uncirculated 64
Description: A beautiful choice uncirculated English five pounds banknote. The banknote is graded by PMG as choice uncirculated 64 and comes in a holder. This undated banknote was issued in the period 1957 through 1961. It is blue in color over a multi colored underprint. It depicts the helmeted head of Britannia to the left of the front with Saint George slaying the dragon in the bottom center. The back has the same color scheme and depicts a lion facing left with a key on a chain in its left paw and the end of the chain in its mouth. The front displays the denomination, the signature of L. K. O'Brien chief Cashier of the Bank of England at the time. The banknote has a watermark showing a helmeted Britannia within the circle to the right of the front. The note has the prefix B82 and the serial number 136087. The note has a security thread which is vertical and is located left of center if you look at the front of the note.
