1960 National Bank of Egypt 50 Piastres Banknote P #29d Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ

Description: A beautiful and fully original Gem Uncirculated banknote from Egypt having Exceptional Paper Quality. This is the 13 April 1960 Egyptian fifty Piastres issued by the National Bank of Egypt. The banknote is brown on multicolored underprint. It depicts the image of Tutankhamun to the right of the front and an ancient Egyptian temple in the center of the back with two ram statues in the bottom with a felucca on the river below the temple. The note has a watermark depicting the Sphinx and has no security thread. The front has the signature of Abdel Hakim al-Refay, the Governor of the bank at the time, the date, the serial number, and the denomination all in Arabic. The back has the name of the bank and the denomination in English. This particular note has the serial number 517086 and is series Zane Seen/30. This is Pick Number 29d and is listed in the Banknote Book as B129d. The note is graded as 66 Gem Uncirculated EPQ by PMG and comes in a plastic holder so labeled. This is a rare not in such high grade and very difficult to find. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of our description.

It is clean, has no pinholes, no graffiti, no tears, and no splits. The note shows no roughness along the edges.
