1961 Clydesdale & North of Scotland Bank Limited Five Pounds Pick 196 VF++

Description: A beautiful very fine or better banknote issued by the Clydesdale & North of Scotland Bank Limited of Glasgow Scotland. This is the 20th September 1961 five pounds currency note. This banknote is dark blue on multi-colored underprint. It depicts the image of the Scottish Arms at right on the front. The back is blue and depicts the image of King's College at Aberdeen. The front displays one signature in black, the denomination, the date, and the serial number with series. This particular note has the serial number 080238 and is series B/D. The banknote has no watermark but has a solid security thread right of center. Please carefully review the scans presented as they are part and parcel of our description.

Condition: I would grade this banknote as a good very fine or better. The note has all of its details very well preserved. The note has several vertical folds and a horizontal fold. it is lightly soiled but has no stains. The note still retains quite a bit of its original stiffness, crispiness, and sheen. The note has no pinholes, no graffiti, no tears, and no splits. The edges have some minor roughness and the corners are intact, mostly squared with minimum rounding and a few minor bumps. The note is beautiful, very pleasing and would make a great addition to your collection. Please see photo for additional condition information.
