1961 Ethiopia One Dollar Banknote Emperor Haile Selassie P18 Uncirculated 67 EPQ

Description: A beautiful and rather rare in such a great condition Banknote from Ethiopia. This is the 1961, one dollar currency note issued by the State Bank of Ethiopia. The note is graded by PMG as Superb Gem Unc 67 EPQ. The front of the banknote has a green image on lilac and light orange colored ground. It depicts the image of emperor Haile Selassie at right and the image of a coffee plant to the left of center of the front. The back depicts the image of the Ethiopian Arms which is a crowned lion passant with a flagged cross in its paw (lion of Judah). The banknote does not display the date anywhere. It displays the denomination on both the front and back. It has one signature on the front. This particular note has the serial number 044828 and it is series A/64. The note is graded Superb Gem Uncirculated 67 EPQ (Exceptional Paper Quality) and comes in a plastic holder so labeled.
