Description: A good very fine or better banknote from Hong Kong. This is The Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation 1st August 1966 Hundred dollars currency note. The banknote which was issued by the "The Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation" and printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. Ltd. has a red design on multicolored underprint with the image of a woman seated with a book on her lap to the left corner and the arms of Hong Kong in the upper center of the front. The back is also red with the image of a bank building in the center and a winged angel on top. This particular note has the serial number 923021 displayed twice on the front, and four times on the back. It is series UT. The note has two signatures displayed on the front. It is dated 1st August 1966. The banknote has a watermark located in the squared frame to the left on the back, which displays a helmeted warrior's head. Condition: I would grade this banknote as a good very fine or better with all the details being still preserved. The note has vertical and horizontal folds and creases. It has general wrinkling especially along the edges. The note is soiled but has no objectionable stains. The note has no pinholes, no graffiti, no tears, and no splits. Its edges show some roughness and show some nicks at the ends of the central vertical fold. Its corners are intact, but are rounded, folded on themselves, and have bumps. Be that as it may this is still an attractive note and would make a nice addition to your collection at a reasonable price for this rare note. Please see the scan for additional condition information.
