1970 Sultanate of Muscat and Oman 100 Baiza Banknote Pick# 1a Crisp Uncirculated
Description: A crisp uncirculated banknote from Oman on the Indian Ocean. This is the no date one hundred Baiza banknote introduced in 1970 and issued by the Sultanate of Muscat and Oman. The banknote is brown and turquoise in color on the front and the back. The front is in Arabic and shows the Omani arms to the right while the back is in English and depicts a geometric design with the name of the issuing authority and the denomination. The note has a watermark depicting the Omani arms and has a solid security thread. The front has one signature that of the Secretary of Finance or Financial Matters. The note is undated but is known to have been introduced in 1970. This particular note has the serial number 761743 and is series "Alef/2" which is written twice in black on the front. It has no graffiti, no pinholes, no tears and no splits. It retains all of its original stiffness, crispiness, and sheen. Its corners are fully squared and intact with no bumps or rounding.
