1979 Reserve Bank of Rhodesia 5 Dollars Banknote P #40a Choice Very Fine 35 EPQ
Description: A nice choice very fine Banknote from Rhodesia. This is the 15th May 1979 five dollars currency note issued by the Reserve Bank of Rhodesia. The front of the banknote brown and depicts the bank's logo in the center near the top, the Rhodesia arms to the right and a Giraffe standing in the bottom left corner on the front. The back, which is also brown in color, depicts the image of two lions in the bush in gray colors. The front of the banknote displays the date, the denomination, the serial number and one signature while the back only displays the name of the bank and the denomination. The banknote has a watermark depicting the Zimbabwe Bird as well as a solid security thread right of center. This particular note has the serial number M/21 944161 shown twice in red on the front. The note is graded Choice Very Fine 35 EPQ (Exceptional Paper Quality) by PMG and comes in a plastic holder so labeled.
