1983 Ireland Republic Ten Pounds Banknote Jonathan Swift Image Prefix LLH
Description: A nice very fine banknote from Ireland Republic. This is the 25-02-83 ten pounds bank note issued by the Central Bank of Ireland. The note which is violet and purple on multicolored underprint shows the bust of Jonathan Swift on the right of the front. The back which has the same color scheme as the front shows an old street map of Dublin with ships on the river Liffy. The note is written in Gallic on the front and English on the back. It shows the date, the serial number and the date on the front with two signatures. This particular note has the serial number 491681 and the prefix LLH. It has a watermark depicting the image of Lady Hazel Lavery and also has a security thread left of center. Please carefully review the scans as they are part and parcel of our description.
Date: The note is dated 25.02.83 or February 25, 1983.
Printer: Central Bank of Ireland. Size: Measures ~6 1/2" by ~3 3/8".
Pick Number: P 72b.
Condition: For international buyers, please note that the new US postal rates for overseas shipping for first class shipments are generally very high and we are unable to change them. Additional charges will be incurred depending on the value of the item. So please check the shipping cost to your location before bidding. I would grade this banknote as very fine with all the details being well preserved. The note has several vertical folds, general wrinkling and several creases. It is intact with no tears or splits and its corners are also intact, squared with minimum rounding. The note is lightly spoil with a few minor stains but has no objectionable large stains. It has no graffiti, no pinholes, and no losses. Its edges are intact with minor roughness. The colors of the note are still fairly vivid and show no fading. A nice note to add to your collection. Please see photo for additional condition information.
