1993 Great Britain 10 Pounds Banknote Elizabeth II Signed Kentfield Prefix EC09
Description: A nice about uncirculated or better ten English pound banknote. This is 1993-1998 issue having a black, brown and red design on multi colored underprint. It shows Queen Elizabeth wearing a crown facing forward to the right of the front. It displays Britannia seated and the denomination to the left of the front. The back has the same color scheme as the front but lighter in contrast. The back displays the image of Charles Dickens to the right and a cricket match being played to the left with the denomination in writing upper center. The banknote has a watermark showing queen Elizabeth's head bottom center. The note is signed by G. E. A. Kentfield the Chief Cashier of the Bank of England at the time in brown ink and has a thin segmented security thread left of center. This particular note has the prefix EC09 and the serial number 114113. Please carefully review the scans presented as they are part and parcel of our description.

Condition: I would grade this banknote as a nice about uncirculated or much better with all the details being very well preserved. We believe the banknote has never been circulated and the reason we give it an AU grade instead of UNC is the fact that there is a small bend at the top edge above the security thread which more than likely happened when the note was counted out by a teller at the bank. The note has no other creases, folds, or wrinkles. It is clean with no stains, graffiti, pinholes, tears, or splits. The edges are intact with no roughness and the corners are intact and fully squared. The note retains all of its original stiffness, crispiness, sheen, and displays nice embossing. This is a beautiful note in excellent condition deserving a spot in your collection. Please see the scans for additional condition information.
