2002 Egypt Pound Silver Coin Inauguration of the Alexandria Library Choice UNC

Description: Beautiful lustrous choice uncirculated silver coin from Egypt. This is the 2002 (1423 AH) One Egyptian Pound, nice size, silver coin commemorating the inauguration of the Library of Alexandria. The coin depicts the image of the top of the library building with sea waves in front of it on the obverse. The obverse has t legend in English and Arabic which says "Bibliotheca Alexandrina 16 October 2002" in a circular fashion above the image. The reverse shows the denomination, the date in both AD and AH, and has indication that it is a coin from the Arab Republic of Egypt, with the legend Inauguration of the Library of Alexandria in beautiful calligraphy above the text. It is KM-912 and weighs ~15.1 grams of 0.72 silver. It measures approximately 35 mm in diameter. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of our description.

Condition: I would grade the coin as a beautiful lustrous choice uncirculated with all the details being well preserved and having nice reflective fields. Is a non-circulating coin and is rather scarce. The coin is beautiful with no wear and is problem free. It has a few surface scratches and minor bag marks, but nothing of concern. Just a great looking coin which would make a great addition to your collection. Please see photo for additional condition information.
