Maker: The St. Louis Silver Company.

Marks: Marked on the bottom of the inside "St. Louis Silver" in a circle with the owrd "Quadruple" under it and finally it has the words "PAT AUG 1 1905" below it all (see eighth photo).

Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: This is a nice piece of Arts and Crafts Movement inspired stein to add to your Breweriana or your Arts and Crafts theme collection.

Condition: The mug is in good condition. It could use some polishing to bring the beauty of the plated portions out fully. The metal portion has some pitting and scratches but is intact and has no observable losses. The wood portion could stand a good cleaning to bring out its beauty. It has scratches and some minor dings as well as a long crack to the wood, which we show in several photos. Be that as it may, the piece is solid and intact and would display nicely. the piece has a few pinkish paint spots suggesting it was kept in a place that was being painted but not covered during the painting. These are small in general and do not distract from the pieces beauty. The spot you see in the seventh photo has been cleaned since and is no longer there. The piece is beautiful in great condition and would make a great addition to your collection. Please see photos for addition condition information.
