Condition: The candlestick is in generally good condition after being around for many years. It is fairly it is relatively clean with black marks on the inside of the box from a burning match book, that probably happened not too long ago. Other than that, the piece has scratches, dings, bends and some residue of brass cleaner along the edges. The piece does not have breaks or obvious repairs. The column has an opening on the side along its length which may be an indication that it had a push up mechanism once upon a time, or more likely it is there to allow for cleaning the column, but we are not certain.
