Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: This is a great antique with very classic coloring common in Pennsylvania Dutch decoration for redware. Definitely deserves a prominent spot in your antique redware collection.
Condition: Bank is in very good condition. It has general over all crazing to the glaze. It also has some scratches on the side and ~1/4" glaze flake on the finial. The bank also has some yellow coloring in the finial, which suggest that the maker was careless when coloring the piece and has some slip that got on the piece. Finally, the piece has some of the usual issues associated with old piece of primitive redware such as pops, slubs, uneven surfaces, areas where the coloring or the glaze did not fully flow, and areas of general roughness. Be that as it may, this is a great piece in very good condition despite being an old toy. Please see photos for additional condition information.
