Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: An interesting antique snuffbox in fair condition at a reasonable price. It would make a great addition to your silver box collection or tobacco/smoking related collection.
Condition: The box is in fair condition with several dents and dings, scratches, and staining. However, the box is all original with no breaks or repairs. The hinged lid works great and the lid closes tightly as it should. The interior of the box has a few stains, is soiled and has lost most of the original gilding as can be seen in the photos. Be that as it may, these issues do not distract from the beauty of the piece. The box could probably use a good cleaning to but we leave that to the new proud owner. Because of the issues discussed here we are selling the box AS IS at a fraction of its true value. Just a nice antique box worthy of a spot in any collection.
