Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: This is a nice pair of bookends with a beautiful and very desirable design. Although they are colored a bit differently they are truly nice and very interesting set of bookends of substantial construction. Combined they weigh over 4 pounds and 13 ounces. Just a beautiful set of bookends, which deserve a spot in your collection or on your shelves.

Condition: The bookends are in good condition with no breaks, repairs or dings that we could find. Although the two bookends appear to be exactly the same in form they are colored differently. One is golden and standing on a gold colored hemisphere and has a light blue backing, while the other is standing on a red hemisphere with blue eyes and a dark blue backing. Both are standing on an open book with white pages with reddish edges and having a gold colored on the back with one having a more pronounced gold coloring. We are not certain why the difference but possibly one or both have been repainted. Be that as it may, we are selling them as found. They both have substantial losses to the paint and show signs of rust in some spots. The bottom felt on one of the two is soiled and has some damage, while it is completely lost from the second. An interesting set of bookends worthy of a spot in your collection or to use around your office. Please see photos for additional condition details.
