Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: A beautiful and most interesting antique matchsafe. It would make a great addition to your silver box collection, matchsafe, or tobacco/smoking related collection.

Condition: The match safe is in very good condition with no major problems. The hinged lid works great as does the press button. The matchsafe has no breaks or repairs. The vesta has a few minor and shallow dings to exterior, which are very difficult to visualize due to the design. It also has some surface scratches, some soiling, and general wear to the exterior commensurate with the pieces age and utilitarian function. We do suspect that the press button could have had a cover which is lost but we are not certain since we never saw an example like this, you be the judge. Be that as it may, this is a great piece with a very nice design. Please see photos for additional condition information.
