Beautiful 1847 Liberty Head Braided Hair Design Large Cent NGC Graded VF 30 BN
Description: A nice brown NGC VF 30 BN copper 1847 Liberty Head with a Braided Hair design large cent or penny. The coin itself is better than the photos show and has much of its details evident. The details of the coins are very distinct with wear commensurate with its grade. The obverse shows wear to the ear of lady liberty as well as the hair lines around it. However, you can still see the word LIBERTY but it shows wear. The rest of the coin shows wear but the details are still easily identifiable, just look at Liberty's head and the details of her face and hair with some wear to it and the word LIBERTY which is also worn, but the date is still well preserved. The word one cent in the center of the reverse and the words United States of America are very distinct while the wreath has wear and quite a bit of the leaves details are gone. The coin has wear commensurate with its age and circulated status. The coin is problem free and in nice original condition displaying a handsome brown colored patina. These coins were designed by Christian Gobrecht. Early US coins such as this are gradually getting difficult to find.
