Beautiful Pennsbury Deep Bowl Colorful Hex Design

Description:  A beautiful Pennsbury Pottery nice size deep bowl. This is the so called the 9" Hex Bowl. The bowl is rather deep and has a hex sign in the bottom. The hex is colored in red, green, yellow and dark brown all surrounded by a brown band. The top of the bowl has a green band just below the rim and the rim itself is colored in brown.  The piece has the typical Pennsbury colors and is decorated with the colorful hex design. The bowl has a footed round base with rounded sides rising to a slightly outwards flared plain rim. The bowl is glazed all over. See page 41 in Lucile Henzke's book "Pennsbury Pottery" published by Schiffer Publishing Ltd West Chester, PA in 1990 for a similar example. Size: Measures approximately 9" in diameter at the top, the base is ~ 4 3/4" in diameter at the base and is 2 1/4" high.   

Condition: This pot is in excellent condition. It has no cracks, hair lines, repairs, crazing, or chips. The color are still beautiful and vivid. Can be used as great decorative pieces for your country home or would make an excellent addition to your Pennsbury Pottery collection.
