Beautiful Roseville Pottery Blue Tall Vase with Handles Columbine Pattern 14-6"
Description: A most beautiful, very uncommon, and scarce blue colored art pottery vase with two handles by the Roseville Pottery Company. This vase is in the Columbine pattern. It was made in early 1940s. It shows large bloom on tall slender stems with trailing green leaves and three-leaf clusters all on a light to dark blue background. Date: Early 1940's.
Origin: Roseville, Ohio.
Size: Base measures ~2 1/4" in diameter at the base, ~6 1/4" high, and ~5 1/4" at its widest including both handles. The vase weighs a bit over one pound and two ounces.
Maker: Roseville Pottery Company.
Marks: In relief on the bottom "Roseville; U. S. A.; 14-6".
Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: This is a truly nice vase which is very difficult to come by. The colors are rich, fresh and vivid and would display very well in your collection.
Condition: The vase is in excellent condition with no cracks, hairlines, chips, or repairs. Its colors are fresh, vivid, and great looking and has minor signs of onset of crazing to the glaze, which we could only see using a 10X magnifying loop. These do not distract from the beauty of the piece and are mentioned here for completion. A great looking piece to add to your collection or use around your home as a decorative accent.
