Description: A beautiful uncirculated mint state 1897 one shilling silver coin from the United Kingdom. The coin, which has a reeded edge, displays Queen Victoria's mature draped bust facing left on the obverse. The reverse displays the crowned shields of England, Scotland and Ireland with a central rose. The coin has the words "VICTORIA.DEI.GRA.: BRITT.REGINA.FID.DEF.IND.IMP" surrounding the queen's bust on the obverse. The reverse is marked "ONE SHILLING 1897" surrounding the central design. This is KM 688, weighing ~5.65 gm of 92.5% and having a diameter of ~23.5 mm. The coin comes in a plastic slab and is graded as Mint State MS 63 by the Numismatic Guarantee Corporation.
