  • $ 64.99

Description: A lightly toned, about uncirculated Indian silver coin. This is a colonial milled one Rupee silver coin. The coin depicts the bust of Queen Victoria of England facing left on the obverse. She is wearing a crown and pearls around her neck. There are the words "VICTORIA EMPRESS" surrounding the bust. The reverse shows the denomination, indicates the coin was from India, and has the year 1900 in English all within a wreath design surrounding it. This is a nice size coin (30.5 mm) with a reeded edge. It is lightly toned and great looking. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of our description.

Date: 1900.

Mint: India (Bombay).

Size and weight: This is a one rupee, which is approximately 30.5 mm in diameter and weighs ~11.66 gm of 0.917 silver. The coin has a reeded edge.

References: It is KM #492.

Condition: I would grade this coin as about uncirculated with all of its details being very well preserved and being lightly toned. The coin has minimum wear to the highest points commensurate with its age and about uncirculated state. It has a few scratches, some bag marks, and some minor stains or soiling to the surface. It is in original circulated condition with no apparent problems and has great eye appeal. It is better than the photos suggest. It has wear commensurate with its age and it’s about circulated status. Please see photo for additional condition information.
