Description: A beautiful silver coin from Portugal. This is the 1966 twenty escudos silver coin commemorating the opening of the Salazar Bridge in Lisbon, Portugal. The coin displays an image of the bridge on the obverse. The obverse also has the legend "REPUBLICA PORTUGESA" along the edge above the bridge and the legend LISBOA and PONTE SALAZAR flanking the image of the bridge with the date 1966 below it. The obverse also has an indication that the coin was designed by M. Norte the sculptor. The reverse depicts a shield with the denomination below it within interesting linear design and a fleur-de-lis above it. The coin has a reeded edge. This is KM 592 weighing ~10 grams of 0.650 silver and measuring about 30 mm in diameter. The coin is beautiful retaining all of its original mint luster and displaying no wear. It is graded MS64 by PCGS and comes in a plastic holder. Please carefully review the photos provided as they are part and parcel of our description.
