Beautiful Small Billon Coin ND 1750 One Rappen Basel City Switzerland Toned Unc.
Description: A beautiful toned uncirculated billon coin from the Basel City in Switzerland. This is the no date (ND) one Rappen Swiss coin issued by the city of Basel in 1750. The coin depicts the image of the Basel city arms within a cartouche on the obverse. The reverse has the words MON BASIL with a flower below it within a wreath. This is a very nicely toned, great looking coin with nice eye appeal. Please carefully review the scan as it is part and parcel of our description.
Date: The coin is undated but known to have been issued in 1750.
Mint: Unknown.
Size and weight: This is a one Rappen weighing ~0.5 gram and measuring about 14.5 mm in diameter.
References: It is KM #154.
Condition: I would grade the coin as a good toned uncirculated with nice eye appeal. The coin has all of its details very well preserved and has no observable wear commensurate with its age and uncirculated status. It has some minor scratches throughout and a few light bag marks. Be that as it may, the coin is still beautiful and would make a worthy addition to your Swiss coin collection. Please see photo for additional condition information.
