Beautiful Vintage NAO Porcelain Figurine Ballerina Sitting Down Stretching Made in Spain By Lladro
Description: A beautiful porcelain figurine made in the workshops of Lladro in Spain. This NAO glazed figurine depicts a beautiful and delicately made ballerina sitting down with her legs and arms stretched out in a typical pose showing a ballerina stretching before she gets on the stage to dance. The piece is colored is flesh tone with the woman having gray hair and gray slippers. She is wearing a white ballet dress with ruffled bottom. The piece shows very nice throughout. The face shows the eyes, eye brows, nice nose, and mouth. The hands show of the fingers, while the ruffled dress is just great. As we understand it the piece was designed by Vincente Martinez and issued or retired in the early 1990's. A beautiful and delicately made figurine to add to your collection or give as a gift. Date: Fourth quarter of the 20th century.
Origin: Purchased at an estate auction in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Made in Spain.
Size: The figurine measures ~5 1/2" high, ~7 1/2" long, with the base measuring ~2" by ~1 1/2" and the piece weighing about one pound and 5 ounces.
Maker: NAO by Lladro.
Marks: Has the words "NAO Made in Spain" written on the bottom with the number 3 and other markings with which we are not familiar incised on the base.
