Canon AE-1 35 Millimeter SLR Camera With Canon Lens FD 50 mm 1:1.8 S.C. Hoya SKYLIGHT 1B Filter
Description: Offered here is Canon AE-1 35mm film SLR camera. Made in Japan with serial number 2378299. The camera is equipped with a Canon FD 50mm 1:1.8 S.C. lens having the serial number 1262125. The lens also has a Hoya Skylight (1B) 55mm filter screwed onto it. The camera comes with a 6 V battery which we are including in the sale but we are uncertain about the extent of its residual life. We tested the camera and it appears to work properly and the shutter functions the way it should. The camera comes with a shoulder strap equipped with a battery storage compartment where we have inserted the battery so that it does not leak in the camera. It also has a rubber eye rest over the view finder. Although no instruction manual is included, this camera is known to be a very simple to use and its manual can easily be obtained on line. Size: Camera is ~ 5 3/4" wide, ~3 1/2" to its highest point, and is ~3 3/4" at its thickest with the lens installed. The camera with the lens weigh over 1 pound 14 ounces.

Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: This is a great camera and a true classic which takes beautiful photos easily.
Condition: The camera is all there and is relatively clean. The lens is clean and as far as we can see is scratch free. The view finder has a couple of spots in it, which we believe are specs of dust on the mirrors and not within the lens. The camera appear to work properly and focuses as it should while the shutter also works properly. The camera came from the home of its original owner who was using it until recently. Finally, the body has some minor scratches and minor soiling, which can be seen in the photos, but these are nothing to worry about. Please see photos for additional condition information.
