Early 1980s Great Britain 10 Pounds Queen Elizabeth Florence Nightingale Signed Somerset Prefix 64H
Description: A nice very fine or better 10 English Pounds banknote. These banknotes were issued in the late 1970s through the early 1990s. These banknotes are deep brown in color over multicolor under-print. This banknote depicts Queen Elizabeth at right on the obverse and Florence Nightingale on the right of the reverse with an early Hospital scene in the background. The banknote has a watermark showing the head of Florence Nightingale. The note is signed by Somerset the Chief Cashier in the period 1980-1988 and has the prefix 64H. This note does not have the letter "L" printed on the back neither does it have the segmented security thread dating it from 1980-1984. The note has the serial number 624380 and is pick 379b. Condition: I would grade this banknote as a nice very fine or better with all the details being very well preserved. The note has general light wrinkling, three vertical creases, and one horizontal crease. It has a few small minor stains and light soiling. It has no pinholes, no graffiti, no tears, or splits, and is in great original condition. It is clean with minor wear and soiling commensurate with its age and circulated status. The banknote still has residual of its original crispiness. Please see photo for additional condition information.
