Egypt Gold 1922, AH 1340 Hundred Piastres Coin King Fuad or Fouad NGC MS62+

Description: A beautiful 1922 AD (1340 AH) One Hundred Egyptian Qirsh or Piastres gold coin. The coin depicts the ex-king of Egypt Fuad or Fouad the first bust wearing a fez facing right on the obverse. The obverse has the legend "Fouad the First King of Egypt", in Arabic, along the edge. The coin is also labeled (Al Mamlaka al Masriyah) Kingdom of Egypt in the center of the reverse and has the denomination and date around it. This coin is a one-year type, it is KM-341 and weighs 8.50 grams of 0.875 gold. This is the yellow gold variety. It measures approximately 23 mm in diameter. Date: 1922 AD - 1340 AH.

Mint: Egypt.

Size and weight: This is the hundred qirsh or piastres gold coin, weighs 8.50 grams of 87.5% purity gold and is ~23 mm in diameter.

References: It is KM #341.

Condition: The coin is graded by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) as uncirculated Mint State MS62+ (the plus indicates that the coin is better than 62 but not quite MS63). The coin has full mint luster and no wear. The coin looks much better than the scan shows. It does have the normal scratches and bag marks that come with such coins.
