Egypt Law of 1940 Banknote Ten Piastres Pick #168a King Farouk Signed Ebeid EF40
Description: A nice fine banknote from Egypt. This is the 10 piastres note issued according to the law of 1940. The banknote is blue and green in color on the front and is green and red on the back. The front has the image of King Farouk while the back shows a guilloche pattern and has writing in Arabic and English. The front indicates that the note was issued according to law number 50 of 1940. The front also shows the serial number in Arabic and the signature of M. Ebeid, the minister of finance in the period February 1942- May 1942. This particular note has the serial number 856915 and is series A/4 which is indicated both in Arabic and English on the front. The note has watermark showing a crowned "Feh" for Farouk.
