Description: Beautiful lustrous proof 1987 (1407 AH) Five Egyptian Pounds, large, heavy, brilliant, and very lustrous silver coin. The coin depicts a nice abstract design with the words " Faculty of Fine Arts Alexandria" under it on the obverse. The reverse is all in beautiful decorative Arabic Calligraphy showing the dates, the denomination, indication that the coin is commemorating the thirtieth anniversary of the school, and the fact that it is from The Arab Republic of Egypt. Just a great looking coin that has a particularly large flan measuring 37 millimeters. It is KM-630 and weighs 17.5 grams of 0.72 silver. Please carefully review the scan as it is part and parcel of our description.
Size and Weight: This is a five pound, weighs ~17.5 grams and is ~37 mm in diameter.
References: It is KM #630.
Condition: I would grade this coin as a beautiful lustrous proof with all the details being very well preserved and having full mint luster. The coin is much better than the scan shows. It does have some scratches and minor bag marks. However, the coin is great looking and would make a great addition to your collection. Please see photo for condition information.
